  • The Student Outreach Pastor is a strategic role within the Students team focused on outreach and evangelism among undergraduate students in Oxford. The successful candidate will have a deep passion for sharing the Gospel and a clear calling to lead others in evangelism.

    They will be someone who thrives in personal, one-to-one evangelism and is also confident in leading larger gatherings and events. Creative, relational, and spiritually mature, they will bring fresh energy and vision to reaching students across the city with the good news of Jesus.

  • The purpose of the School of Ministry (SoM) Community & Pastoral Support Lead is to help foster a thriving, Christ-centred community among the interns of the St Aldates School of Ministry programme. This role exists to build healthy rhythms of shared living, equip interns for relational maturity, and offer informal pastoral support throughout their year at St Aldates. Working alongside the SoM Minister, SoM Coordinator and wider ministry staff, the postholder will play a vital role in shaping a positive intern culture - one marked by trust, hospitality, discipleship, and resilience. This role will also support interns in navigating the relational dynamics of shared living and ministry placement.

  • The Alpha and Groups Assistant plays a key part in helping people feel known, welcomed, and rooted in the life of St Aldates. Through effective administration, warm communication, and collaborative teamwork, this role supports the smooth running of both the Alpha course and the Groups ministry - two vital pathways for faith exploration, discipleship, and community. This is a people-focused and detail-oriented role ideal for someone who is passionate about helping others connect with God and each other.

Volunteering Opportunities

Everything we do is enabled by our amazing volunteers. If you would like to, and are able to help in one of the following areas of church life, we would love to hear from you! Please drop us an email at communications@staldates.org.uk

 

  • Are you a violinist, cellists or electric guitarist? The Worship team are on the lookout for worshippers with these particular skills! Please email lauren.harris@staldates.org.uk if you are interested.

  • We are in need of some friendly people who have some spare time to cover Reception at the church offices during working hours (9am-5pm). We currently have 2 out of 5 days weeks covered, but are keen to get others involved.

  • We are in need of people to operate cameras across all services. Previous experience is not essential, but some basic knowledge of camera gear and filming would be beneficial. Flexible hours on Sunday throughout the month depending on availability.

  • We are currently looking for leaders on a Sunday morning to help inspire and disciple our younger youth group (Years 7-9). If you have experience leading young people, or you are interested in finding out more, please get in touch with us at youth@staldates.org.uk

  • If you love serving others and have an eye for detail we would love to hear from you. Our hospitality team is currently expanding and looking to help across multiple Sunday and mid-week events.
